Reducing the amount of toxins in your personal environment eases tangible stressors to fragile bodies.

The rise in chronic ill health is spiking awareness in humanity. As debilitating illness takes hold of human and beloved pets alike, vitality wanes and causes humanity to slow down and give time to quiet reflection and contemplation. Even economical factors chime in to occasion for introspection.

Modern life has tainted the most basic biological functions with a heavy load of toxins current living standards impose on often unknowing beings. Humans exist according to an ingrained pattern of perceived comfort; this comfort comes at a huge, obscure price many do not want to take a good look at.

The Right to Clean, Pure Water

“If the white man had listened to the Indians, we would still be able to drink out of the river”, so goes an old Native American saying. Modern life has greatly affected the planets water quality. Piping treated water to our homes means a good deal of heavy metals and trace amounts of many chemicals (amongst other impurities) will make their way to our physical systems. The main component to any body is water. A simple water purification system will provide a first and easy step to easing the burden of clearing and flushing toxins from any hard working body.

Keeping the Home Clean

The home environment should be a sanctuary. A place to feel safe from the worries and cares the outside world can burden us with. Choosing time-tested, non - toxic cleaners like white distilled vinegar and baking soda will keep the home tidy and not burden your pet or yourself with harsh chemicals that place more stress upon body systems like the liver and kidneys.

Pick safe options for your garden as well. People may not realize that pets spending time on chemically fertilized lawns or those treated with pesticides will carry that residue on their paws and coats. When your pet grooms itself, these chemicals are ingested and will need to be processed. Many of these chemicals inflict aggravated cumulative damage as the years wear on. There are a host of biologically friendly options available for herbicides, fertilizer and pest control that will be well worth your time to investigate. Up coming articles will examine these options in greater detail.

The Role Diet Plays

Previous articles on Modern Food Production and Raw Diets give insight to how tainted much of the food supply is and the burdens it places on the physical body. Body systems like the liver, kidneys, lungs and skin are the main organs for processing and eliminating toxins. These systems seem to be under the greatest stress with modern life pollutants and need the most support.

Humans have given up their right to vibrant health as we forfeit our right to prepare healthy, nutritious meals ourselves. If the body is “clean” enough and not muddied with chemicals that cloud insight, the body innately knows the foods it needs to stay strong. This will coincide with seasonal changes and was the original “self medicating”. Wild animals know this well. Most beings are now too loaded with toxins to know the difference and chow down on tainted forage for the sake of convenience.

Diet changes made slowly will detoxify the body; especially the more organic raw food is added. For some beings this can take months to a year. Those who have rehabilitated rescued animals and introduced feeding cooked/raw diets as the being is substantiated to tolerate the infusion of good nutrition, will note a completely different animal in appearance of coat and demeanor than the creature they began the journey with. The proof is there to see and inspires many people to change their nutritional habits for the better.

Aside from the diet itself, there are a host of healing foods available to add to the diet; if need certain herbs, clays and homeopathy can also heal and assist the body in clearing impurities, improving vitality and healing the body of disease. These are best discussed with your holistic health practitioner as they will best know your animals’ constitution and the components needed to step the being back to wholeness. Natural does not mean benign and well intentioned acts without the full knowledge and consequence there of can lead to unforeseen results. Cats are especially sensitive and prudence needs to be employed as many natural substances that heal other beings will certainly afflict the delicate cat.

When the body is unburdened and cleared of the toxins lodged with the cells, it has the added benefit of boosting the immune system. The being is better prepared to tackle health issues that may come its way as the whole system is ramped up.

Movement and Breath

Exercise plays in important role in aiding the lymphatic system to eliminate toxins from the body and should not be overlooked. Movement also encourages deep breathing that helps to oxygenate the cells on a deep level. This winning combination completes the cycle of wholeness as joy fills the heart, fresh air inflates the lungs and vivacity springs the feet back to earth in gratitude. Even the Earth feels joy when her children are restored.

The Circle is Unbroken

Pets are often the catalyst many people need to get on the path to better health. Humans will often do for a pet what they will deny themselves. As the pet responds with unconditional love and vigor, the human becomes inspired to treat themselves better. Relieved of muddied vision the toxins caused, all are ignited to live their life with conviction and purpose.
